Catering General Manager

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven, commercially astute Catering General Manager to lead the highly successful busy multi million pound Inn on the Lake – Bar, Grill Restaurant, Café, Weddings and Events business based beside the Silvermere Lake.

The successful candidate will join the senior management team and play a key role in shaping strategy and the implementation of initiatives and goals, seeing them through to a successful conclusion further developing the business reputation for quality and exceptional service.

The role requires a hands-on approach combining a mix of management, leadership, business development, people management and practical delivery that covers all front and back of house operations, kitchen areas, driving sales and cost control and delivering bottom line profits in line with budget expectations.

The successful candidate will have worked in a vibrant, high volume, quality delivery, multi-stream environment – demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and good financial acumen. You will help shape the future investment, development and growth of the business, whilst sharing in the improved profitability.

Our ideal candidate will:

Have proven experience of managing both front of house and events. Balancing volume, quality and ensuring repeat business.
Ideally, you’ll come from a high-volume customer facing senior management role with an understanding of delivering in a branded operation.
Have at least 5 years’ experience as a Catering Manager (possibly for a well known brand or chain) and be looking to develop to the next level within this role.

Golf Services Team Member

We are looking for a Customer focused individual to join our Golf Services Team.  Duties will include working at our 1st tee, on the course as a Marshal and selling refreshments and also being part of the team keeping the Driving Range running .

Shift pattern will be 4 x 8 hour shifts between 6:00am and 10:00pm on a 7 day a week basis including bank holidays and weekends. You will be rota’ d to work 3 out of 4 weekends.  Silvermere staff can use the Driving Range free of charge each day they work, get access to a reduced price staff menu in the Inn on the Lake and has the option to take out a heavily reduced club membership.  A golfing knowledge is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Retail Sales Assistant

An opportunity has arisen to join the Retail Sales Team at at Silvermere Golf Complex.

The hours for a full-time retail sales assistant are full-time 45 hours per week over 5 days – Monday to Sunday.

Previous retail experience is essential, as is a keen interest and understanding of golf.

Your past experience will have been in a fast paced environment where you demonstrated the ability to multi-task whilst demonstrating excellent customer service which is synonymous with the Silvermere brand.
