At Silvermere, we're on a mission to be more environmentally conscious and reduce our carbon footprint. We believe that small, practical steps can lead to significant changes. Here are some of the initiatives we've already put into action and what's on the horizon for 2024.

Current Sustainable Practices:

• Paper Bags Over Plastic: We've made the switch from plastic bags to paper bags, thanks to a partnership with adidas Golf.
• Warehouse Eco-Consciousness: In our warehouse, we're making mindful choices, like using biodegradable materials where possible, responsibly recycling soft plastics, and reusing packaging materials such as boxes and bubble wrap.
• FSC-Certified Paper Products: We've started using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved paper products to support responsible forestry practices.
• Green Gift Cards: We've replaced plastic gift cards with environmentally friendly green cards sourced from sustainable forests. We've also introduced e-gift cards, reducing the need for up to 3,720 plastic gift cards annually.
• Digital Privilege App: Our Privilege App has reduced the need for physical plastic-based cards.
• Streamlined Range Experience: Our range app has simplified the process and eliminated thousands of range tokens each year.
• Customer Recycling: We're introducing customer recycling stations across the driving range and complex to encourage responsible waste disposal.
• Filtered Water for Functions: We now serve Brita filtered water at functions to cut down on single-use plastics.

Future Plans for 2024:

Looking ahead, we have some realistic and impactful goals for 2024:

• Electric Vehicle Chargers: We're progressing with our plans to introduce electric vehicle chargers, supporting sustainable commuting.
• Biodiversity Projects: Keep an eye out for biodiversity projects around our golf course, designed to enhance our natural surroundings.
• Warehouse Efficiency: We'll continue refining our warehouse processes to reduce waste and improve sustainability.
